First Friday w/Zeppo @theClub

Zeppo is becoming a tradition at the Union Club on First Friday of each month. Once more, in March, the club reached capacity and late arrivals had to wait for someone else to leave before they could enter.

Chuck Lester was in rare form and played with the audience.

What can one do with Pete except admire his sartorial splendor? Well, you can admire his musical talents, which are extensive. You can also go the Stringed Instrument Division at 500 N. Higgins (in the building with MCAT), M-F, 10-2, and learn more about stringed instruments than you thought possible. You can even buy one from the large selection Pete has on sale.

Chuck took time out to dance, while Ruthie did the singing.

Weekend Music in Zoo City

Down in front; let the boys in the back show their stuff. I wasn't willing to pay $11 to Pray for Snow with the iNHUMANS, but they played a second show that day at the Elks. Did you know about it? I don't remember seeing iNHUMANS at the Elks listed either in the Independent or on the Missoula Events site. If Kyle's brother hadn't told me about this gig, when I encountered him at the Badlander, I would have missed it. And I don't like missing this group, because they are truly original.

Saturday night, I was delighted to see another of my favorite groups, when Zeppo played the Union Club.
Chuck Lester was also celebrating his 69th birthday.

Ruthie was in red last night, with the iNHUMANS, and this night wears a black version of the same dress, with Zeppo.

Zeppo Fills The Union Club

As Chuck Lester says, "Zeppo's in the house." And one of my favorite song birds is singing along.

I arrived on time, experienced some camera difficulties, went home to switch gear, checked the other night spots for music--Critical Martini in the Iron Horse parking lot, Volumen at the Old Post and Thomas Pendarvis breaking in a new band at Dauphine's. When I returned to the club to get some good shots, it was at capacity and I couldn't get back in. I thought the night was a total loss, until I saw these.
