Rooster Sauce Crows at Caras

Final show for Rooster Sauce is tonight at the Palace. Be there, or be beyond help, hope and square.

Local Fest in Caras Park on Saturday, May 15, 2010, featured Rooster Sauce in their next to last performance. They played without their signature costuming, although the wings made a return appearance. They did, of course, play with their usual exuberant style.

We say farewell to the Count, as Chris packs up to move to Arizona. He has represented top notch entertainment locally for many years. Thank you, sir. Travel safely.

Dauphines is Next Door

Hello. Why are you bummed? Yeah, I know, its almost 2 o'clock, and they want you to get out of the bar. And, I'll bet you're hungry, too, aren't you? Did you know Dauhine's Cafe is right here? They will be open another hour. Just walk from the Badlander dance floor, through the lounge doors.

Bring your friends. For a few bucks you can get a mountain of fries that would feed half the birds in Missoula, and you will need to share. I hope you're drunk to the point of making hasty decisions. Otherwise, you might dither too long, because there is a lot to choose from. The menu includes slow food, burgers and breakfasts.

Right through here.

Look at this. They have started an herb garden in here. How cool is that?

Also easy to find from the other Ritz establishments, the Palace and the Golden Rose.

A Sweet Evening in the Palace

Once upon a time, there was a band named Thug Life, made up of four beautiful, talented people who had nothing to do with anything thug-like. Realizing their name didn't fit them, they went nameless for a bit, before renaming themselves Dr. Agony and the Mystery Date. All of this has been chronicled in previous posts, here. It is time for the latest chapter. Mystery Date was scheduled for the Palace, on Tuesday, March 24, but two members were unavailable. Here is the hybrid band which played. Madison is up front, and Mary is fiddling bold and moody.

Thomas Pendarvis appears, over Mary's shoulder. He says he's beginning to like playing the bass. I think he did it the first time with Streetlight People, during Amanda's CD party. Since then he has repeated with that group and stood in with others.

Sugar, Sugar, Sugar was the name band, visiting from Bellingham, for this evening.

Another strong drum storm occurs in the Palace.

I've pointed out my penchant to capture other photographers, when I can. I am not the only photographer on the scene, but...

The two at the right in both of these were the ones who insisted on having their pictures taken this time. I'm going to start posting an occasional collection of people who ask to be photographed, instead of including just one or two like this.

More photos from this evening may be found on the flickr archive.
